The simple answer is yes it can and we’ve proved it.
Now there are some low calorie drinks on the market, some of the mass produced ‘lower cal’ wines come to mind as do some flat tasting lower abv, session beers. There are plenty of options out there that taste worse than the products they are based on. I’ve tried my fair share of horrible tasting low calorie wines and been left very disappointed, luckily for us spirits are very different and we actually found a lower calorie spirit tasted better than traditional products.
And it’s not just limited to alcohol spirits either, there are some great tasting lower abv wines and beers out there that I can and will recommend. Sometimes you want a lighter option, if you have an important day the day ahead or are just counting the calories to ensure you fit into your new outfit – whatever the reason for drinking smarter, we don’t believe you should ever compromise on taste.
Luckily with Minus 33 you don’t have to – with the world’s number one leading gin blogger giving us their highest taste score and other bloggers (e.g. Gin & Tonic Reviews) singing the praises of the spirit, we have proved that low calorie can taste better. But if you don’t believe any of the experts, know that our panels, which consisted of hundreds of tasters chose this specific recipe (which incidentally was lower in calories) as their favourite.
Dry and spicy we are not, but light refreshing and tasty we are. So give it a go and let us know what you think.
